V roku 2009 si osvojil 6 súrodencov, ktorých vychoval a sú úspešní. Bol prvý (možno v celej EÚ, ktorému súd zveril naraz toľko detí). V roku 2011 dostal v hlasovaní v ankete otec roka cez 560tisíc hlasov, cenu verejnosti. V roku 2012 dostal vysoké vyznamenanie od ženijného práporu v Seredi za pomoc obetiam povodní v SR. V roku 2015 preberá z rúk MPSVaR ocenenie za prínos v humanitnej oblasti. V roku 2017 Dostáva cenu mesta Šaľa za výbornú prácu v prospech detí a mládeže. V roku 2018 dostáva ocenenie Srdce na dlani aj so svojou dcérou za záchranu viacpočetnej súrodeneckej skupiny. V roku 2023 dostáva ocenenia od AMCHAM SLOVAKIA za dlhoročné výsledky v humanitnej oblasti. V roku 2023 dostáva združenie miniBODKA cenu za pomoc obetiam vojen. Počas celej svojej kariéry od roku 1994 a potom po založení združenia v roku 2007 sa nepretržite venuje deťom sirotám, ktoré bráva k sebe domov na víkendy, prázdniny, sviatky, aby mali kde byť. Sám prekonal ťažkú stratu v detstve a tiež čelil mnohým, závažným chorobám. Je veriaci. Ako sám o sebe hovorí, citujeme: pokiaľ poznám samého seba, nikdy nebudem súdiť nikoho iného. Musíme zabezpečovať prístup k dobrám, aby boli ľudia a potom aj svet dobrým miestom pre život. Zlo si voľno neberie, ale ani ja si ho nemám kedy zobrať.

Naša práca musí obsahovať tri veci:
Mieru. Spôsob. Poriadok.
- Musí byť primeraná skromnosťou v konaní.
- Prispôsobená rýdzosťou citu.
- Usporiadaná čistotou úmyslu.
Občianske Združenie miniBODKA sme založili (vtedy 4 študenti VŠ) v Ružomberku 27.02.2007. Vtedy nám ho ministerstvo vnútra oficiálne schválilo (pozrite stanovy). Najprv sme chceli pomáhať deťom, ktoré sú týrané a zanedbávané. Po čase sme sa vyprofilovali aj na deti zdravotne a mentálne handicapované, znevýhodnené z dôvodu, že nemali rovnosť šancí a tak sme sa snažili im pomáhať. Časom sme zistili, že niektoré deti v zariadeniach náhradnej starostlivosti sú odlúčené od súrodencov, tak sme ich začali spájať a bolo to vždy plné emócií. Napokon sme stále pri tomto zostali a pribudli nám do portfólia našej práce a nášho rozsahu činnosti, ešte týrané matky, ženy a deti, ktoré vplyvom tragických udalostí prišli o oboch rodičov (autohavárie, choroby). Dosť široký záber, ale ono sa to tak nejako vyprofilovalo samé. Pridávali sa dobrovoľníci z celej SR a napokon sme sa aj my museli presťahovať z Ružomberka do Šale, kde sme mali lepšie podmienky pre výkon dobrovoľníctva a teraz opäť meníme miesto a ideme do Patiniec, pretože ideme tam, kde môžeme byť dlhšie, aby sme mohli vykonávať túto činnosť. Budova v Patinciach už patrí miniBODKE aj keď nie je veľká.
Všetci dobrovoľníci v miniBODKE sú z rôznych profesií, odvetví a škôl. Združujeme sa výhradne pre výkon dobrovoľníctva po celom území SR úpre deti a ľudí v núdzi. Najčastejšie profesie sú: lekári, zdravotníci, sociálni pracovníci, liečební pedagógovia, terapeuti, fyzioterapeuti, pedagogickí pracovníci, vychovávatelia, študenti, absolventi VŠ humanitných vied, laici, kňazi, rehoľné sestry a priatelia z rôznych profesií, ktorí sa spoznáme pri výkone nášho povolania. A sme skvelá partia.
Ako vznikol názov miniBODKA? Sedeli sme v kuchyni v byte a premýšľali o stanovách združenia a názve. Prvé dni nič. A potom z čista jasna mi padli oči na stenu nad mojou posteľou, kde som mal veľkú mapu Slovenska na polystyréne a na nej zapichnuté farebné špendlíky, kde všade som už bol. Bolo ich veľmi veľa a takmer nebolo kde tie špendlíky už pichať, lebo od roku 1994 som začínal ako dobrovoľník a kde som bol, to som si na mape označil. Pozerám, premýšľam a crnklo, že ájhľa, tie farebné špendlíky sú ako malé bodky a tak vznikol názov mini (deti) a Bodka ako miesto ktoré navštívime, alebo sme už navštívili.
Nie štát má vychovávať deti. V prvom rade rodičia. Keď sa to z nejakých príčin nedá, môžeme byť nápomocní štátu, ktorý musí chtiac, nechtiac zasiahnúť a aj odobrať deti, aby im tým často zachránil život. Pri svojej práci OBDIVUJEM DETI, ktoré majú jazvy skryté za úsmevom. Tí drobci sú schopní sa usmievať cez slzy, keď zo seba urobím v úv. ŠAŠA pri našom prvom a potom aj pri opakovaných stretnutiach (keď ich chcem rozosmiať). Obdivujem týchto drobcov aj násťročných, lebo cez slzy, strach, úzkosť, bezmocnosť a bolesť (v presnom poradí ako som ich uviedol), vedia otvoriť svoje dlane budúcnosti do ktorej ich maličkými krôčikmi dovedieme. Obdivujem ich dôveru, ktorú do nás aj do seba vložia. Je zaujímavé, ako to zvládnu aj cez to všetko, že nemajú vybavené účty s minulosťou. Často obdivujem všetkých ľudí s ktorými sa pri svojom povolaní stretnem. Ľudí, ktorí by mali právo kričať a oni namiesto toho pokojne šepkajú. Obdivujem vás DARCOV, pretože ma nesmierne dojíma, teší a podnecuje vaša dôvera, pomoc, podpora. Zo slov a viet chlácholivých nedokážem urobiť nič. Na to treba skutky. Ja za tie vaše skutky ĎAKUJEM. Poctený som aj preto, že mňa ako osobu beriete tak, že máte istotu odovzdania vášho dobra/daru deťom. Teší ma, že sa nerozhodujete pomôcť podľa farby pleti, národnosti, vierovyznania, ale podľa srdca a maximálnej dôvery v túto miniBODKU a nás v nej, ktorí sa osobne angažujeme v prospech pomoci deťom a dospelým. President Daniel Milan’s business card: in 2009, he adopted 6 siblings, whom he raised and who are successful. He was the first (perhaps in the entire EU to whom the court entrusted so many children at once). In 2011, he received over 560,000 votes in the father of the year poll, the public award. In 2012, he received a high award from the engineer battalion in Seredi for helping flood victims in Slovakia. In 2015, he received an award for contribution in the humanitarian field from the hands of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. In 2017, he receives an award from the city of Šaľa for excellent work for the benefit of children and youth. In 2018, she also received the Heart in the palm of her hand award with her daughter for saving a group of multiple siblings. In 2023, he receives awards from AMCHAM SLOVAKIA for long-term results in the humanitarian field. In 2023, the miniBODKA association receives an award for helping victims of wars. During his entire career, since 1994 and then after the foundation of the association in 2007, he has continuously devoted himself to orphaned children, whom he takes to his home for weekends, vacations, and holidays so that they have a place to be. He himself overcame a severe childhood loss and also faced many, serious illnesses. He is a believer. As he says about himself, quote: as long as I know myself, I will never judge anyone else. We must ensure access to goods so that people and then the world are a good place to live. Evil doesn’t take time off, but I don’t have time to take it either.

Our work must include three things:
Peace. Method. Order.
- It must be proportionate to modesty in action.
- Adapted to purity of feeling.
- Organized by purity of intention.
We founded the miniBODKA Civic Association (at that time 4 students of the university) in Ružomberok on February 27, 2007. Then the Ministry of the Interior officially approved it for us (see the statutes). First, we wanted to help children who are abused and neglected. Over time, we developed a profile for children with medical and mental disabilities, disadvantaged because they did not have equal opportunities, and so we tried to help them. Over time, we discovered that some children in foster care facilities were separated from their siblings, so we began to reunite them, and it was always full of emotions. In the end, we stayed with this and added to our portfolio of work and our scope of activities, still abused mothers, women and children who lost both parents due to tragic events (car accidents, illnesses). Quite a broad shot, but it kind of took shape on its own. Volunteers were added from all over the Slovak Republic, and finally we too had to move from Ružomberok to Šala, where we had better conditions for volunteering, and now we are changing the place again and going to Patiniec, because we are going to a place where we can stay longer in order to carry out this activity. The building in Patincie already belongs to miniBODKA, even if it is not big.
All volunteers in miniBODKA are from different professions, industries and schools. We are associated exclusively for the performance of volunteering throughout the Slovak Republic for children and people in need. The most common professions are: doctors, health workers, social workers, medical pedagogues, therapists, physiotherapists, teaching staff, educators, students, graduates of the University of Humanities, lay people, priests, religious sisters and friends from various professions who we meet while performing our profession.
How did the name miniBODKA come about? We sat in the kitchen of the apartment and thought about the bylaws of the association and the name. The first days nothing. And then, out of the blue, my eyes fell on the wall above my bed, where I had a large map of Slovakia on styrofoam and colored pins stuck on it, where I had already been everywhere. There were a lot of them and there was almost nowhere to stick the pins, because I started as a volunteer in 1994 and marked where I was on the map. I look, I think, and it dawned on me that lo and behold, those colored pins are like little dots, and that’s how the name mini (children) came about, and Bodka as a place we will visit, or have already visited.
It is not the state that should raise children. First of all, parents. When this is not possible for some reason, we can be helpful to the state, which has to intervene and take away children, often to save their lives. In my work, I ADORE CHILDREN who have scars hidden behind a smile. Those little ones are able to smile through the tears when I make myself into a vv. Jester at our first and then repeated meetings (when I want to make them laugh). I admire these little ones as well as the one-year-olds, because through tears, fear, anxiety, helplessness and pain (in the exact order as I mentioned them), they know how to open their palms to the future to which we can lead them with small steps. I admire their trust, which they put in us and in themselves. It’s interesting how they manage despite all that they don’t have settled accounts with the past. I often admire all the people I meet in my profession. People who should have the right to shout and they quietly whisper instead. I admire you DONORS, because I am extremely moved, pleased and encouraged by your trust, help, support. I can’t make anything out of soothing words and sentences. You need deeds for that. I THANK you for your actions. I am also honored because you take me as a person in such a way that you are sure of passing on your good/gift to the children. I’m glad you did
